Dan Murphy’s has officially been voted Australia’s favourite liquor retailer, claiming top spot in the Canstar Blue 2026 Most Satisfied Customers Award.
Based on an independent customer survey of 1,721 Australians about their recent liquor shopping experiences, Dan Murphy’s outperformed all major retail competitors to claim the highest overall customer satisfaction rating across the country.
Growing to become a household name since the opening of the first store in Melbourne nearly 75 years ago, Dan Murphy’s achieved standout ratings across key consumer criteria, including overall value for money, store range, checkout speed and flexibility, and website layout and navigation.
Benjamin Ward, Managing Director of Dan Murphy’s highlighted that the business had been doubling down on the foundational promise of delivering Australia’s lowest prices for drinks.

Canstar Blue’s national ratings evaluate liquor retailers directly through consumer feedback collected via accredited research panels.
