Dan Murphy’s Uncorks New Sandy Bay Store

‍With over 3,000 wines, beers and spirits on the shelves - including a dedicated Tasmanian range - Dan Murphy’s has today opened the doors to its newest Sandy Bay store, giving locals a one-stop shop for everything from rare single malts to crowd-pleasing craft beers.

The new Sandy Bay store offers a fresh and modern shopping experience, designed with both convenience and sustainability in mind. Spanning more than 800 square metres, it features a state-of-the-art green refrigeration system (using natural refrigerants instead of traditional gases), only the seventh of its kind in Victoria and Tasmania, as well as a building management system to monitor and reduce energy consumption.

Dan Murphy’s Managing Director Agi Pfeiffer-Smith said the new store celebrates both convenience and community.

Dan Murphy’s Sandy Bay offers a seamless shopping experience with multiple pick-up options, including in-store pick-up and a convenient direct-to-boot service at the rear of the store.

Located on the traditional lands of the Muwinina People at 259 Sandy Bay Road, the new store will employ a passionate team of local members, led by Store Manager Kit Wilkinson.

Dan Murphy’s Sandy Bay is the 284th store nationally, 90th across Victoria and Tasmania, 4th in Tasmania and 3rd in the greater Hobart region, making it easier than ever for locals to explore Tassie’s world-class drinks.
