Refreshingly BWS Stats to make their mark as BWS enters second year of AFL partnership

Adelaide, South Australia: For every centre bounce, every goal scored, every clanger and every contested mark, BWS will be there for the thrilling moments that become life-long memories for die-hard AFL fans.

This year, to mark its second year as official liquor retail partner of the AFL, BWS is unveiling its Refreshingly BWS Stats campaign, which will feature entertaining facts that every fan will love - all available in the palm of your hand.

There will be nine new Refreshingly BWS Stats made available every week of the 2024 AFL Premiership season, available exclusively through the AFL app.

To officially launch the Refreshingly BWS Stats campaign, BWS welcomed the AFL Premiership Cup to its Royal Oak Drive store in North Adelaide today, as South Australia gears up for its highly-anticipated second Gather Round. 

AFL legend Shaun Burgoyne, who played 142 games for Port Adelaide and 250 games for Hawthorn spent the afternoon in store with the Cup, meeting fans and sharing some of his own Refreshingly BWS Stats.

BWS General Manager of Marketing, Josie Brown said statistics can reveal interesting and entertaining facts and illuminate part of the game for fans. She says this new element of the BWS integration with the AFL app was another way BWS was making watching the AFL at home more engaging. 

“We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the second year of our partnership with the AFL in this way - by bringing the little-known stats and facts to the fans watching with their friends and family at home, alongside their favourite drinks available through the BWS app,” Ms Brown said. 

Refreshingly BWS Stats now also feature in a segment on Channel 7’s The Front Bar featuring Sam Pang, Mick Molloy and Andy Maher.
